Check out this awesome trailer by ZephyrSonic·

Let me start off by saying I haven't played the Mystery Dungeon game since the Gameboy Advance ones. And I am starting to remember why!

For one this demo starts off with yourself talking to yourself constantly having a conversation on who you really are. THEN a light comes out of nowhere and tells you basically who you are.

This then will give you the option of choosing who you would like to play as. I of course choose Pikachu! And the beginning part of the demo they tell you as long as you keep the demo installed with all save data, it'll transfer over IF you buy the full game.

FINALLY Nintendo, I don't have to restart after spending hours on this demo. Now your probably wondering, "hours of gameplay in a Nintendo demo?" And when I say "hours" I don't mean of gameplay I MEAN OF dialouge!

The cut scenes and graphics are truly amazing especially in 3D I feel like I'm watching the TV show for the most part, BUT god why sooooooo much talking.

After about 20 minutes of talking between Pikachu and this mysterious white light, he finally goes into a cave with his partner! While the graphics and overall controls feel like a Pokemon game BUT better the fighting mechanics are shaky.

The game tries SO hard to just like a typical Pokemon game by keeping it's roots of turned based attacks, it doesn't really factor in the idea of you and your partner BOTH attacking enemies in caves. Besides graphically a big difference between these two games is the idea that you heal each time you finish a battle, taking a way a huge challenge. BUT then again this game series is geared towards younger children who doesn't understand the concept of Pokemon yet.

WE then go into another 20 minutes or so of talking between your partner, Quagsire and of course once again with yourself. Pikachu keeps trying to remember who he really is and doesn't remember if he was a Pokemon or NOT.

I do however like overall concept of the game, the idea that your going to make a Pokemon Paradise where all Pokemon will live in piece, and this can only be done through solving puzzles and crawling through Dungeons. It's a mash up between Digimon World DS and Tomb Raider.

And with Nintendo promising for the first time ever mind you, DLC for the game I can see the hype Game Freak is making. They're will be extra dungeons and more puzzles for free and to be bought from the eShop channel.

Also with the Pikachu Bundle 3DS XL coming out this is a sweet incentive to play this new game since both come out on the same day! With a tentative release date of March 24th.

The Demo ends with you beginning to be able to make your own town and start making it a Paradise for all the Pokemon inhabitants.

Which is a plus seeing as one of the demo's main purpose is to be a place holder for preexistent data for when the game drops.

Our Honest View gives, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Demo 3/5. This demo is pretty mediocre and now what I remember of the old days. However with some great features like DLC and of course graphics I think I can look past the dialogue. Plus if it really wants to be like other Pokemon games it'll have a option to change the dialogue speed! The demo as I said earlier does serve some purpose, seeing as I've gotten through 3 hours of dialogue and about 15 minutes of exploring at least when I pick up the game I'll be past that....ONE CAN HOPE?
