Fast cars fast crashes at fast speeds. This review will be as quick as the racing in the game!
By: Solomon Carreiro

The developers went around to most of the gaming site showing off all the work they put in to this wii u version. Calling it a port would be a slap to the developers seeing how much work they actually put into it.

The game starts you off in Fairhaven city an open world with lots of building and sites to behold, lots of traffic and lots of cops. You learn that speed is the name of the game and jacking new cars and winning races to sup up new cars to take out the most wanted cars to finish the game, that is the objective but its not what you find your self doing.

You will be racing around exploring the locals for hidden billboards to sash new cars to jack or just out running the cops. You can jack any car you see in the game at jack locations or you can use the wii u game pad to pick new cars on the fly.

This brings me to the wii u gamepad, the developer’s game you all the options you could ever need here. Switch cars on the fly, change day into night, turn traffic on or off, disrupt the cops, and use the pad for a bigger map.

They used the system and its pad to its full potential. there are lots of different control configurations you can choose from. The game pad, pro controller, wiimote, wiimote plus nun chuck. I found myself using the gamepad or the pro controller most of the times. The controls are pretty forgiving on the slower cars but then you pick up something with some major speed you will often find yourself watching a slow mo of you crashing.

The graphics are by far the best on the consoles but given that this is more powerful than the current gen system it better be. The textures aren’t as grainy as they are on the ps3 or 360 and stand up pretty close to it PC counterpart.

Where it shins though is in it night mode, the developers put extra time working on an advance lighting system for the wii u version, surpassing even the PC version.  When you look at the other nighttime modes on the other system or PC you can see this artificial light that comes form no where but on the wii u each light seen seems to be cascading from a light source, not baked lighting seen on the others.

There are plenty of wii u vs  videos of this on online and I would recommend checking them out for yourself.

Now what I did not like about this game was the crashes. This was being billed as “Burnout paradise 2” and it is for the most parts. But the crashes weren’t realistic ( or sadistic ) enough. The real car manufactures would let their cars be shown in that light and the game suffers for that.

Our Honest View gives Need for Speed: Most Wanted U 9/10.  The graphics are really impressive for current gen consoles.  I also  love the freedom the wii u gamepad gives you and the gameplay is so simple yet addictive. Like I said I'll keep this short so we can go race!
