2013 is bringing us some of the darkest films. Star Trek Into the Darkness, Iron Man 3 and now Thor the Dark World are promising us the edgy opposite sides of our favorite heroes.

We are seeing them fight their toughest opponents and not only that the dark sides of them. In the trailer the thing that caught my eye especially was Thor seemed like a veteran. He seemed like he's been through hell and back and lost of his goodness.

I like this idea to a point but I really don't want to see three hero movies with the same motif. That they must go to the dark side of the code in order to win.  Especially when you have Loki, he's essential the other side of the coin!

In the first film he was a likable guy. Funny, good looking and of course a tough badass. It may be to earlier to tell but maybe it's just him growing up? But he's starting to look a awful like his father.

My main concerns with the film was it was so hard making a villain in the first one and it was mostly dependent on Loki. Then of course LOKI is the villain of the Avengers film. Where do you go from there?

Is a sequel for our heroes necessary?

Where can they go from here by themselves? I truly and worried!

How will the events from Avengers carry over into the new film. We seem Tom Hiddleston in the end of the trailer and Thor needs his help? I'm somehow okay with this seeing as their team up in the beginning of the first film was my favorite part!

But this leaves me wondering, on their relationship, and now will they switch personalities per say?

Still something has to give in order to have Avengers 2. If it wasn't for Thor, Loki never would have destroyed New York City!

I'm worried about the villains though. Thor seems hard to match, frankly because he's a god. It's the same problem you have with Superman!

The Dark Elves will be the villains in the new film. So this film will be a dark version of Avengers except the team up will feature Asgardian's fighting elves? Can't we just watch Jack and the Giant Slayer?

Granted this is just a trailer, Marvel has a lot of convincing to get me on team Thor for another film. Especially when we have darker films like Star Trek and Iron Man. You can blame the Dark Knight for this one. The fact that good and evil are so well defined and what a man must to in order to win is just a good selling point.

Check out the trailer here if the other two links don't work. Thor: The Dark World hits theaters November 8th, 2013.
