After seeing this almost 3 minute trailer I am left wondering how it took so long to make a great Superman movie.

Though recently it was discovered that Synder's Superman will not have a weakness of kryptonite. He has promised that this Superman has a new weakness so there is no need for his older ones. I wonder if it happens to be people? Seeing as he lets them arrest him in the trailer.
I don't get the whole boat idea or interaction with Lois Lane later on, so this may stray away but add some depth to our hero. Which is highly necessary to define him, especially if they plan to make many movies with our guy!
I like the idea of a total reboot with the origins of our hero it seems to what makes super hero movies these days just look at all of Marvel's success! DC has seriously stepped it up since Green Lantern.
My only concern is with the actor Henry Canvill, can he handle such a role?
It's not one to be taken lightly but if anyone can get him to become the man of steel it's Michael Shannon who will be playing the opposite role as Zod.
With the work from Synder previously and the great Christopher Nolan this movie can't fail! One of the concerns that this movie raises to me is it's highly dependent on aliens. I know that sounds silly since Superman IS a alien, however if the origins movies such as Green Lantern and now this one are leading to a Justice League movie, they'll have to be a reboot of the Dark Knight as well.
Why a reboot, you ask?
Because in Nolan's trilogy it is as realistic as possible. Everything supernatural has a explanation and there is no references to aliens, invasion or alien technology. So needless to say I can't see Canvill and Bale forming the great team!
Don't let this discredit this movie though, it's true a new origin to me. Just as the Amazing Spiderman trailer almost two years ago we see how their parent's wisdom led them to be great heroes. Even his suit is different but fits! It works for me, in a time where appearance is everything he looks and fits the part with a suit that doesn't look ridiculous.
SO! Check this trailer out and decided for yourself, however I can tell you that come June 14th, you can see me and this film in theaters!
