With the recent collapse of THQ many wondered what would become of their franchises such as, Homefront, WWE, South Park, and their most notable franchise Saints Row.
Recently Deep Silver purchase the rights to future Saints Row and all existing products. You may know Deep Silver as the group that brought Dead Island the over the top zombie killing co-op game.
Well today Deep Silver released the first trailer of Saints Row IV.
And not going to lie this trailer looks amazing. Saints Row IV promises to be more "wilder" and the best one yet. Seeing as this comes out right before Grand Theft Auto V, Deep Silver is going to have to pull out all the stops on every aspect to beat RockStar.
NOT only does it hold true to the cartoonish take over feel but it also incoporates many other games. Such as Protoype, the main character in the trailer can clearly be seen charge jumping and gliding across the city.
I see bits of Tron as well at least when it comes to vehicles. Then of course the idea the most important concept, the concept of Sim City. According to Deep Silver the synopsis of the story is game is a direct sequel to Saints Row: The Third. It is set
in a fictional Washington DC and futuristic Steelport, and the Saints
leader has been elected president. As the leader was elected, an alien
attack happens and the earth is overrun.
This game will be being released on August 20th, 2013 across PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. More details of the game will be announced at PAX East this weekend and the game will be displayed as well.
