**Contains Spoilers, Be Warned**
**Okay, You've Been Warned**
Let me start by saying that this movie had one of the best intros that I have ever seen. To those who haven't seen the previous 5 movies, they give you a awesome video montage of the films with a kick ass rap song, We Own It, by 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa. The montage only shows you the important parts that pertain to this film, which happens to be a lot!
However if you haven't seen the other films its okay!

However with the success of Fast Five and this film, cars have decreased in the films and the story has jumped up! That's okay though I'm not complaining per say but Fast and Furious 6 was plagued with two huge parts to it.
It did bother me a little that so much little thought was put into making cars to match Shaw's vehicles. They ditched the cars to throw punches.
For one they went from robberies and high stakes racing to saving the world, literately if they didn't stop Shaw (Luke Evans) then the world was jeopardy. Shaw was trying to steal equipment in order to shut down a countries electronics for over 24 hours.
Just seemed like a HUGE jump, now saying that robbing a billionaire in Rio to saving the world.
The other thing that just didn't fit in with the series is some of the stunt seemed way to unbelievable. For one Dom (Vin Diesel) jumps across a bridge in order to catch Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) in the air and land on top of a car. There is no way he could have timed that and not break his back! That bothered me.

Plus when they're taking down the plane to stop Shaw, that stretch of runway seems to last about I don't know 10 miles?
If the plane can't get up in the air within that stretch I wouldn't get on that plane. I understand that a plane can have to much weight but as Roman (Tyrese Gibson) says, "It's not a plane, it's a planet!)
Since this was a huge ACTION movie a lot of the scenes are filmed in the run of the mill quick or fast pace. I found my eyes straining at some points where the action was suppose to be the best. I didn't like this switch. Th other films the cars may have been moving at 100 mph but the scenes flowed just right.
The one other thing that bothered me on this film is something minor but the movie drags in the middle. It isn't the run of the mill hour and forty five minute movie like the other four. Seeing as Fast Five was a lot longer as well. Anyways the movie moves very quickly in the beginning but then drags with a HUGE story. I found myself bored for a bit but quickly this was put to rest when the movie starts to pick up towards the last forty five minutes.
Now this bothered me but this was also awesome. Seeing as their is about 10 characters and most are the major characters of the story. In Fast Five there was about 12 characters but only 4 or 5 were major! Now with 6, you not only have more major characters you also have the character development.
Though I don't feel Shaw got enough time in the film, he didn't develope as much as the other ones did. A HUGE plot twist however was the unfolding of Hobbs (The Rock) partner Riley (Gina Carano) being Shaw's girlfriend. She developed more than Shaw and her death seemed more action packed and story driven then his. His death truly was overcast by the idea that Vin Diesel almost died.
Han (Sung Kang) and Gisele (Gal Gadot) have huge roles in this film among others but their relationship and the events that transpire with Shaw are what will eventually lead to, Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Yes.
Finally, Tokyo Drift now makes sense, well kind of .
At the end of Fast and Furious 6 if you stay past the credits of course they show you scene of Han, Sean (Lucas Black) and Takashi/"Drift King"/DK (Brian Tee) racing through Tokyo which
eventually leads to Han's death.
However in this turn events the explosion that kills Han comes from a trigger man, a trigger man named Ian Shaw (Jason Statham), challenging to go over Dom.
The plot was a solid action film though, a bunch of bad guys want to steal something, sell it and watch the world burn. It's up to the good guys to fix it but oh WAIT, the always need to help to beat evil so they get more good guys to help. The good guys are outclassed, and outmatched but somehow they survive and pull through.

It's cool because this is the only development that Shaw gets, is the idea that has been in control of everything since the previous two films with control of Braga etc. Now this is a good twist to the film adding something new than the usual action movies.
Rock is your typical funny badass that we've grown to love. I got to say this might be his best movie. I don't think he was made to be the main event, but sure a great supporting actor. He teams up with Diesel which may be the greatest team up since the Expendables (expect Hobbs and Dom can still fight). Rock is counterbalanced to have serious and even funnier moments through other characters like Roman and Tej (Chris Parker aka Ludacris) who even has a more impactful role than the other previous films.
Our Honest View gives Fast and Furious 6 a 8.8/10. This movie pushes the petal to the medal. The movie isn't a Fast and Furious movie by any means but an amazing action movie, with a fantastic story and cast. The bad guys being good guys is always a wonderful twist. This film could definitely be a stand alone film in my eyes, but strangely fits in the family of Fast and Furious series.
