Review of a Preview "God Of War: Ascension" Beta (2013) That's One Leap Forward For Sony

Remember this is a review of Sony's beta of the forthcoming game. And by the looks of it they are taking a huge leap not only in the game area for 2013 but also in the "God of War" series, their key game.
So when I heard that the newest God of War game was going to feature multiplayer I’m not going to lie I was definitely a little nervous but now after playing the beta for a couple of days now I can put your fears to rest. It is awesome.
You start out by selecting your Greek god of choice as soon as you boot up the beta unfortunately there is only two gods available from the start Ares and Zeus but they give you different abilities. Ares players are more focused on straight damage and nailing combos while the Zeus players are a little more magic based. I started out as with an Ares alignment and it was nothing but satisfying.
You start off as level one and by unlocking chests during multiplayer, killing other people, and completing objectives unlocks new armor, weapons, magic, and skills for you to use and level up as you see fit. Another really interesting aspect of the multiplayer is that if you grow attached to a specific armor or weapon the items level up as you use them! The beta also runs quite smoothly as well with no noticeable lag or latency in your attacks and defense as you battle other players. The match making is for the most part intelligent as well by trying to pair you with people close to your level however, with the lack of players in the beta there will always be one or two members in the match who will just down right dominate but luckily there are items put throughout the map that will even make veterans run away from a new player.
Overall this beta is a very welcome start to what could be a very interesting and gripping multiplayer mode my only complaint is that the hammer seems a little overpowered currently due to its ability to continuously stun lock its opponents making it impossible for new player to get away who don’t have the appropriate items or magic to attack back.
Adding multiplayer to game that has been a single player game for most of it's run is chancy but also new and exciting twist that stops the game from getting to stale.
Tyler Comp's review of "God of War: Ascension" Beta (2013). Greatest Reviews gives this beta by Sony 4 1/2 stars out of 5. For a great multiplayer addition to amazing single player game series.
Like what you see, preorder "God of War: Ascension" at Gamestop now! Were you'll recieve exclusives such as the multiplayer skin, King Leonidas modeled after Gerald Butler from the hit "300". Game hits the shelves March 12th, 2013.
