Seriously can we do no wrong?

Name a bad movie DiCaprio has done!

Okay okay there are a few older films that have been bad.

But who hasn't had a bad film, this guys been on a role since the 1990s. He's hit roadblocks with his acting just like every actor. Thing is he has always come back stronger. A child star with success for over 20 something years!

So his debut film was Critters 3 not his best film we'll admit but come on he was young! He then shoot to television stardom by starring on Growing Pains for two years! Somebody was competing with Kirk Cameron!

Blast a few years later he's in a little film called What's Eating Gilbert Grape. With Johnny Depp, playing Depp's mental retarded brother trying to fit in society with a dysfunctional family! This film earned him numerous nominations such as a Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

We could talk about his 90s films all day but let's jump to the end of the 90s with his blockbuster film that was the top grossing movie of all time for 12 years! That's right Titanic.
James Cameron's story of star cross lovers, I consider this one of the greatest films of all time. Not only did he gross over a billion dollars, it also had such a compelling story and amazing cast featuring Kate Winslet and Billy Zane.

How could you not like the film! It was so well received it was revived for the 100 year anniversary of the Titanic sinking in 3D.

From 2002 to 2008 he acted in four of the greatest films of this millennium the films where, Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, The Departed and Blood Diamond. All earning him even more nominations which he won Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role as Howard Hughes in The Aviator.

The Departed is the movie that solidified many careers like Walhberg, Damon, and Baldwin but for Leonardo it was just another stepping stone to being one of the greatest actors. He even had one of the most compelling death scenes of all time that they were going to film a movie about Walhberg's revenge over his death!

Now we jump to another film of 2008 Revolutionary Road, a reuniting with Kate Winselt and a unrelated but brings closure to the ending of Titanic in a way.

Leonardo stepped away from acting for a few years producing a few bad movies such as the Orphan and Little Red Riding Hood. However he returned in 2010 with two more of the greatest films.

Shutter Island showing a much older and mature DiCaprio on a mission to solve a issue on a prison island only to be mind bended and plot twisted. This is one of his most graphic films of all time. But it's also the return of his acting accent!

Now we have Nolan's blockbuster film Inception! DiCaprio was helped once again with a stellar cast such as Gordon Levitt, Hardy and Paige. This film has more twists and mind bending than any other films. This also shows DiCaprio in another light, technically he's a bad guy but you sympathize so greatly with him that it's hard to hate a criminal!

This film should have put him in the running to be in Nolan's Trilogy nothing against Joseph Gordon-Levitt but maybe DiCaprio and Bane is to much star power for a superhero movie?

2011 saw a drastic turn for him. He played J Edgar a film critics hated and criticized but LOVED his performance. He played Edgar who was much older than DiCaprio so a little movie magic was needed to make him look much older.

BAM! 2012 ends with a wonderful and disturbing performance as Calvin Candie in Quentin Tarantino, playing a crazy plantation owner in the film Django. Which also saw many other great actors and Leonardo not as the main actor for once. But he stole the show however this time as the villain.

This was the first time I didn't like DiCaprio's character and saw him as a villain, what a great turn!

Now 2013, we get to the point of the article. DiCaprio sharing the screen with Tobey Maguire in one of the greatest books of all time Great Gatsby. Playing Jay Gatsby is no easy task and many have tired and failed.

I'm glad they choose him for the role however DiCaprio can truly do no wrong and can adapt to any role. In a way Gatsby and DiCaprio have parallels seeing as both want to be the life of the party or in DiCaprio's case the life of the movie! Both have started with good starts and made their way to the top for all the world to see.

We'll see if DiCaprio can hold his own in the Great Gatsby it hit's theaters May 10th, you know we'll be there!
