Okay so Fast and Furious 6 is right around the corner so let's start this article off with a preview of Fast 6. THEN will go over all the other quickly and give them scores.

Fast and Furious 6 comes to bring together all the cast of all the previous movies. Well except Lucas Black though Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift is the third film in the franchise, chronologically it'll always be the last film for one major reason that we can't go into!

The movie looks to have a good wholesome story, perhaps the Avengers in a darker fashion. They're not bad guys, just not always the good ones either. They did rob a corrupt man of millions of dollars!

Now it look's the Rock needs help in this one, and it looks to be the last with this cast. Though many rumors have been swirling the internet that this is the stepping stone in a new direction of Fast and Furious movies. That a 7th and 8th installment will follow right after this film with Vin Diesel being replaced with Jason Statham. I don't know how I feel about this seeing as Vin Diesel is this movie just as Paul Walker is.

Now let's talk about the other films shall we?

The Fast and the Furious (2001) 7.9/10

The first film finds Paul Walker's character of Brian O'Connor as a undercover cop trying to racers Dominic Toretto and his crew for robbing trunk drivers in high performance cars. One thing leads to another and O'Connor is forced to reveal his identity in order to save one of Dom's crew members when he is shot by a trunk driver. At the end of the film Brian lets Dom go instead of taking him in.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) 8.5/10

This film is the only film not to include Vin Diesel, it finds O'Connor on the run at first and trying to make money racing. He is offered a pardon if he goes undercover with Tyrese Gibson's character of Roman Pierce in order to pin a drug ring. He eventually does and even saves a undercover agent Customs Agent Monica Fuentes (Eva Mendes) and we meet technology wise and race organizer Tej Parker (Ludacris)

The Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift (2006) 7.5/10

This film has a whole new cast featuring Lucas Black as Sean a bad teen sent to Japan to live with his estranged father. He then meets Han ( Sung Kang) and Twinkie (Bow Wow) and of course meets DK the drifting king. They become in a entangled in a cluster of racing which causes Han his life.  Sean is able to beat DK and send him packing! Making him the new DK, but then he is challenged by Dom in a cameo appearance.

Fast & Furious (2009) 6.9/10

This film shows Dom with a new crew still stealing things just in other countries. Han is shown in this film and this is when he first teams up with Dom meaning Tokyo Drift has to take place after Fast & Furious. O'Connor is now leading the FBI tracking down drug pins etc. Dom is forced by o the USA when Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is murdered. This causes him and O'Connor to team up after so ups and downs going after Braga the villain of the film. In the end Dom is sentenced to 25 to life for all his crimes. While on the transport bus to jail Dom sees a bunch of cars heading his way.

Fast Five (2011)  9.1/10

Following Fast & Furious film, we see the transport bus Dom is on is attacked by a bunch of drivers, precision drivers. Mia and Brian to be exact. Fast Five is longest of the films and has Dom, Brian and Brian's girlfriend/ Dom's sister Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) living in Brazil. The Rock's character Hobbs and Elsa Pataky's character of Elena Neves hunting them down. Dom calls in all the friends of each film in order to rob Heran Reyes after he gets the trio blamed for killed Agents. Once Reye's men kill Hobb's men, he's left with no choice but helping Toretto's team take down Reye's army! This leads to a great chase scene where Brian and Dom drag the safe of millions of dollars through the city! The trio end up getting away and everyone goes their separate ways with Hobbs promising to get Dom.

With a strong history of movies, Fast & Furious 6 has to surpass the bar! I believe it can be done, but not without the help of everyone involved! What separates this film, the cars are not only used for racing, but also as weapons, and even tanks will be used for this film.

Three Simple Things To Remember for this new console!

Simple: It's got cloud save, trending, and everything all in one place for you. Key phrases, more voice control and swiping will make transitioning easier than before.

Instant: It responds right away when you give it a command, it's always on for you.

Complete: Smart Glass, all you electronics linked to the device, kinect sensor, built in wifi, blu-ray drive.

Gaming we will have 15 exclusives in which 8 are brand new franchises. Speculating that the other 7 are most likely, Forza, Halo maybe a new Fable.

EA seems to have to much of a huge part in this game, I don't want to be micro-transactioned on turning the tv on!

They still didn't mention how the games work

Are they installed and only used on that system?

Can the console play original and xbox 360 games?

Can it play use games?

Is there a point to buy physical or should we go with digital with over 300,000 servers.

You've heard before sides, which are you going with? Sony's PS4 or Microsoft's XboxOne

So with both consoles promising to make their Coke and Pepsi racing games, i.e.  Gran Turismo 6 and Forza 5 there is doubt when these titles will be released.

So I began playing Grid 1. I never though of playing the Grid series until I saw the preview of Grid 2 which made me think of the Fast and Furious movies.

Well there is one huge difference between Grid and Fast and Furious the races are legal where they are illegal in the movies. Grid 1 was the most realistic, street racing game. Featuring every car I ever wanted to drive.

Now in just a few short weeks we'll finally have Grid 2 after of course a 5 year absence.

The video below shows clips from the actual game! The game is said to include real tracks all around the world. In places that include Paris and the United States.

This game looks like the racing aspects of Gran Turismo 5 and the realism of Forza 4. Now let's hope the issues with these games don't care over. Truly they didn't have to fix anything in Grid 1. It had the best leaderboard system that I have ever seen. All I would want is multiplayer leaderboard team ups AND possibly a story.

Codemaster the producers of the game have promised a great preorder bonus! Promising limited edition cars, for download to be used in multiplayer, single player and online events. These are the bonuses for preordering at GameStop

Are you a Coke (Forza) or a Pepsi (Gran Turismo) fan?

I'm a firm believer that they will make another Power Ranger's movie. Whether it be a reboot of the original or based on the current series, it'll happen it needs to happen. Especially because Michael Bay is making a new TMNT movie, of course someone would have to one up in in terms of action.

Then a friend sent me this trailer ^ on  April Fool's Day entitled, "New Power Ranger's Film." I foolishly watched the trailer and was greatly disappointing. This is not Power Rangers at all but a action packed rip off.

I'm sorry but it is.

This trailer reminds me of the original Power Rangers film, Independence Day, and of course Transformers.

Pacific Rim is directed by Guillermo del Toro and is based on the idea of Francisco Goya's painting the Colossus. The film's premise is that giant monsters called Kanji rose from the Pacific Ocean and threaten the human race.

The humans make huge robots called, Jaegers that are operated by two people, i.e. Megazords. But these prove futile to the Kanji.

Two unlikely heroes; a former pilot Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi)who are teamed to pilot a legendary Jaeger.

This sounds like the idea of recruiting teenagers with attitude to form a huge robot to fight aliens from space.

In terms of actors Idris Elba seems to be the only actor that I actually have heard of.

It's clear that I have my reservations of this film, whose to say this can't be a great film though. But they've been advertising it for months, but with the star power and premise it's another recycled action film, most likely with a predicable plot.

Okay, okay, with E3 in less than a month away, the developers of Ouya made a HUGE announcement.

Microsoft and Sony better set their game up to the max. But with a Microsoft conference in less than three days, chances are not much will be shown by them either. Leaving the realism that E3 may be boring this year if it's just one huge presenter. Ouya technically will not be at E3, it'll be outside. While Nintendo will not be presenting at E3, Ouya, Sony and Xbox 360 will be.

Ouya will be presenting outside so that everyone can see it. Ouya’s Kellee Santiago has told us that the Ouya booth will be in “a parking lot directly across from the Convention Center's South Hall (address is 601 W. Pico Blvd.)” The dates are June 11th through the 13th, no press passes or anything crazy, just yourself bring ya friends!

Any developers will have till the end of May to submit their games that they'd like to be demoed or showcased at the event!

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE OUYA IS:

The Ouya console has been announced.

Don't know what the Ouya is?

Well it's the smallest console, easily transported from friend's house to friend' house. It requires no disks therefore they can't be scratched or have to be bought.

You will be able to download games directly to this console the size of a Rubik's cube. So you'll have to use a credit or debit card in order to set up a account to download.

Just like a certain program that has destroyed physical PC games..OH I know Steam!

Ouya makers have promised favorite franchise such as Final Fantasy brought to you in full screen HD. It will use a nVIDIA quad-core CPU and outputs via HDMI to sum it up to a stunning 1080p resolution!

And for only a 100$ why the hell not give this a shot! A lot cheaper than buying a new xbox 360 or ps3! www.gamestop.com/browse?nav=16k-3-ouya,28zu0

Don't get me wrong I still have my reservations but this game can support up to 4 gamers at once with Bluetooth controller.! Has built in a wirless.

Oh yeah!

And most importantly if you want to develop games, just plug your laptop into the micro-USB port and anyone can release an OUYA game!

This thing has pretty sweet specs!
Memory: 1GB Ram
CPU: nVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core
Storage: 8 GB Internal Flash Storage (Of course this expandable via USB Port)
Connectivity: Wifi (802.11 b/g/n), Ethernet port, and Bluetooth
USB: One USB 2.0 port, one micro USB port
Output: HDMI (up to 1080p HD)

The only downsides I'm seeing are what's the library going to consist of and of course how big the games are. These are obviously small prices to pay to give this thing a shot for 100$. I can always buy a external hard drive, which on xbox 4gb would cost you at least another 129.99$ totaling over 300$.

Plus I am still unsure about the library but if this takes of who knows what could happen to the library? There is a unofficial list of games surfacing online promising some fun arcade adventures. Such as Minecraft as well! This could be a strong launch!

The biggest thing about this that separates it besides price is the idea that Steam will be compatible on this console. Meaning my Steam library will be able to be played on my ouya console. This leaves me wondering will the graphics be better than my pc? And 8GB won't hold one of my steam games!

Still many questions on the Ouya but for a 100$ I'm on the band wagon and willing to believe this console has as much potential as all next gen. consoles.

It hits shelves on June 25th, 2013!

So he's back again!

After the success and popularity of Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii he's back again and on the handheld this time! And something special about this one is it's in 3D!

The 3DS version will include two modes, "Original Mode" which plays the same as the original Wii version, and "New Mode" which introduces a handful of new items to make the game easier, including extra health. The 3DS version will also contain an extra world with new levels not present in the original Wii version. These other levels are rumored to be one's from the original Donkey Kong games from previous consoles.

From the looks of this trailer this game will be a more crystal clear version of the first. I'm glad that they're not changing much to it. But apparently they had to remake the game in order to implement the 3D component.

However the first game was extremely diffcult and a little lackluster for the story mode. I'm hoping these new features will add to the original and make the game the great concept it deserves to be.

Donkey Kong swings into stores May 24th check it out!

What's up Honest Gleeks, it is time for yet another review of Glee.

Wait, Glee is over for the season.

WHAT IS ANOTHER REVIEW DOING HERE!?

Because it is time to review the top ten songs from season four.
I hope everyone out there in the honest community is ready, because it is time for a countdown.

Number 10. Teenage Dream (Acoustic) by Katy Perry sung by Blaine from episode 4 The Break Up

Blaine (Darren Criss) visit Rachael (Lea Michelle) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) in New York. At a karaoke bar he sings a saddened version of the song that leads to a walk in the park where Blaine admits to cheating on Kurt ending the match made in obvious heaven between the gay couple.
A blessing because it adds conflict to a couple that is far too obvious. The only two homosexual main characters being together and so utterly, hopelessly in love was too easy for the writers to do. The only thing to do was create a season long plot of Blaine trying to get back together with Kurt including them hooking up several times and ending with the cliffhanger of Blaine holding an engagement ring behind him as the team wins at regionals.

Number 9. Heroes by Davie Bowie sung by Blaine and Sam from episode 7 Dynamic Duos

This song earns brownie points with me for being a surprisingly awesome song sung during a rather pointless episode with no reason behind it at all other than to have a superhero themed episode because superheroes are everywhere. This is one of the songs that made plot wise sense for Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Blaine to become best friends. Mostly because they sing awesome together. Oh yeah, Blaine had developed a crush on Sam.

Number 8. Locked out of Heaven by Bruno Mars sung by Marley, Unique, Tina, Sugar, and Brittany from episode 11 Sadie-Hawkins

I love gender bender covers and I love this song. One of my favorite songs sung by Marley (Melissa Benoist) that really shows this new girl can sing. Very little plot relevance to this song other than it is awesome. I do kind of wish they would of turned this into a more meaningful romance moment song but what can you do, this was just good music to me.

Number 7. Never Say Never by The Fray sung by Jake from episode 1 The New Rachael

Holy hot stuff. Wait hold on that is not my line. We meet Puck's little brother Jake (Jacob Artist). This guy can sing. But this guy is not the new Puck. He is much closer to the new Finn rather than Jake. He is really good at singing, especially at singing my favorite Fray song. It is really too bad they did not let him finish. Although, if they did I suppose we would not have seen Jake has some anger issues to work out. Which he does in like three episodes. But regardless it makes the cut despite being cut off.

Number 6. Hall of Fame by the Script (Feat. Will I. Am) sung by Jake, Ryder, Sam, Joe, and Artie from episode 22 All or Nothing

Spoiler warning. New Directions kick ass. The team opens with Hall of Fame almost as a way to rub it in everyone's face that as long as Marley didn't pass out again that The New Directions would win at regionals. I still wish they would of lost but we can't always get what we want. The new cast combining with the old cast may just win at nationals come season five. Let's hope they make it to the Hall of Fame again.

Number 5. Bye Bye Bye/I Want it that Way by N'Sync/The Backstreet Boys sung by Finn and Will sung episode 16 Feud.

Why didn't they do this in the 90's? Will (Matthew Morrison) totally wins this battle but it still blew me away. As a shameless fan of both bands I am glad they did what I was thinking. The choreography was spot on using the strings everyone thinks about when Bye Bye Bye comes on. This whole scene was made possible by Finn (Cory Monteith) having a lapse in judgment several episodes ago kissing Emma and possibly ruining Will's wedding. It is a little surprising that the two ever make up at all. Oh they haven't really yet because Finn's actor went into rehab toward directing the last episodes. Maybe next season!

Number 4. The Longest Time by Billy Joel sung by Artie, Kitty, Sam, Marley, Ryder, and Jake from episode 20 Lights Out.

I waited the longest time for Glee to cover The Longest Time. Man I sure do love bad puns. A fun episode, Lights out was all about acoustic performances. The cast sings with minimal assistance singing Billy Joel's song. This is another song that shows the newcomers of The New Directions know what they are doing. A lot of shows try to replace the old characters with similar ones as the cast grows up and parts, but Glee subtly did it. Some characters are quite obvious about who they are replacing but they obviously make it so that the characters are really their own beings.
Phew. Almost done. Number 3. Creep by Radiohead sung by Rachael and Brody from episode 17 Guilty Pleasures.

Rachael and Brody's goodbye song. Rachael's boyfriend for the season Brody (Dean Geyer) has had a secret this whole season. He is a jiggalo in order to pay for his college tuition at NYADA. He has been hiding it from everyone, sleeping with old rich women for cash. Probably not a bad job except for all the STDs and wrinkles and the fact that he is cheating on Lea Michelle. Dude is tripping stupid. Ignoring all that, this song has the two sing a duet about how their relationship ended terribly, but if they both put more into it something truly special could have come out of it.

Number 2. Your Song by Elton John sung by Ryder from episode 18 Shooting Star.

This whole scene is adorable. It is really too bad it ended so badly. Ryder (Blake Jenner) sings this song to confess his love to the girl he thinks is the girl he has been talking to online. Totally embarrassing when he finds out is is not her. It drags on a half season long plot (at least it felt that way to me) about us finding out who is Ryder's secret admirer. We find out several episodes later that it is Wade AKA Unique (Alex Newell) the boy who wants to be a girl singer of The New Directions is the one who has had feelings from Ryder the whole time. Despite it being the only obvious choice I really wish they did not go this route with it. I think they damaged up having Ryder get with someone who fits his character more like Kitty or Marley for example trying to create this plotline.
The last one. And it is a good one. Although probably obvious.

Number 1. Don't Stop Believing by Journey sung by Rachael from episode 19 Sweet Dreams.

Holy gleek nostalgia Batman. Rachael sings Don't Stop Believing for the third time in Glee's incarnation for her first audition on broadway. It motivates her to continue on. I love how they use similar scenes to the first episode when they first did the song, with the original members singing behind her. Finn had one last awesome scene before his actor went into rehab. Telling Rachael to do this song.

My top ten songs for Glee season 4. Hope you enjoy out there Honest readers. I sure did. Until season 5, remember to be yourself and blast loud music.

With the recent announcement that Electronic Arts (EA) is abandoning its much-loathed online pass program, I began to ask myself, “is EA actually developing a conscience?” The conclusion that I came to was..... maybe. - By Adam Zimmerman

Now before I get a thousand hate letters calling me an idiot and asking if I’ve lost my mind, here me out.

Now, for the few of you who don’t already know, an online pass is a one time use code that needed to be entered before you could access any of a game’s online features, whether it was actually playing against others online, or just downloading extra content for the game.

These codes came packaged with every new copy of a game, and could be purchased for ten dollars by those that bought the game pre-owned. When EA first launched this program back in 2010, gamers across the world raged, calling EA everything from a bunch of money sucking leaches to words that I cannot print in this article.

Soon after a few other companies such as Ubisoft and Activision started using online passes in their games as well. Now, the businessperson side of me could understand why they would do it. They wanted people to buy their games new because they don’t make money on used copies of a game, and this was a way to convince people to buy new. I may not have liked it, but I understood.

EA’s stated reason for abandoning the online pass is, according to Jeff Brown, EA’s VP of corporate communications, gamers didn’t like it. They tried it out for a little while, realized gamers seriously disliked the program, so they stopped. Now obviously I don’t believe that this is the only reason that they ditched the program, but if it even played a part in their decision-making, then to me it’s a good thing. Now you might say, just the possibility of EA listening to their customers does not the beginning of a conscience make, and I would agree, but that is just the beginning of my argument.
My next argument comes from the sports division of EA. Arguably the second most popular sport in the entire world right now is basketball, behind football here is the US, and futbol/soccer in the rest of the world. There is a lot of money to be made with a basketball video game. The last basketball game that EA released however came out way back in 2009, which was NBA Live 2010. They haven’t released one since. They made one. It just never got released because EA realized it was so bad that they didn’t want to release it and they haven’t been able to get it right since then so fans of NBA Live continue to wait. No matter how bad the game was; EA could have released it, made a few million bucks, and continued to put a new iteration out each year and kept trying to make it better. They didn’t do that though, and have sacrificed millions of dollars all in the name of quality control. That’s not exactly something a bunch of money sucking leaches would do.

My last argument involves EA’s purchase of Bioware. Back in 2007, fans of Bioware were horrified that one of the best RPG maker’s in the industry had been bought by the dreaded EA. Fans feared that EA would start making Bioware pump games out every year like their sports games. They also feared that the EA would start insisting upon creative changes and generally just seriously damaging the high quality of games Bioware was (and still is) known for.

These fears have proved unfounded in the long run. In fact, Bioware has been able to do more than they could before with EA’s massive financial resources at their disposal. EA has also stayed out of Bioware’s way, letting them keep their brand identity, and not interfering creatively with Bioware at all.

The cynic in me says that none of this has anything to do with EA developing a conscience. It’s all just good business sense. The online pass program wasn’t dropped because gamers did not like it. It was dropped because it was affecting their downloadable content sales. Not coming out with a basketball game hasn’t been about quality assurance. It’s been that the money that they could have made off a crappy basketball game wasn’t worth the marketing time and effort. The money saved by not publishing and promoting a bad game could be used elsewhere with much better results. Lastly, staying out of Bioware’s way was an easy decision. Why make the effort to get involved in the making of a game when they can just sit back, do some advertising, and reap the huge financial benefits?

In the end, it seems as though EA, the evil empire of the video game world, is pulling a Darth Vader on all of us. Yes they may seem mostly evil, and it is pretty awful to work for them, but deep down there is some good there. They have not entirely forgotten that they make games for gamers. They don’t make games just to make more money for their stockholders (though they have to do that too). Maybe these signs of having a conscience will allow people to see that they aren’t so bad after all. So keep it up EA. Maybe, just maybe, if you keep doing good things for gamers, they might actually start to like you again.

Now let's talk about EA's relationship with Nintendo! - By Solomon Carreiro

It truly breaks down to  Electronic Arts Vs Nintendo or EA vs the Video Game Industry.

I was looking at writing this before EA’s Bob Summerwill’s tweets came out, back when news that Madden was not going to make an appearance in Big N’s newest console. Back when news that Frostbite wouldn’t work on Wii U, but then EA had said that no new games was in the works for Wii U then a few days later EA was talking about how Frostbite could be made to work on smart phones and tablets.

It almost seemed like a shot at Nintendo,  but a major leader in Video Games wouldn’t do that, would they?

“The Wii U is Crap. Less Powerful than XBOX360. Poor online/Store. Weird tablet. Nintendo are walking dead at this point.”

“Nintendo are still operating like it’s 1990. They should have “done a Sega” and offered Mario/Zelda as PS4/Durango Exclusives.”

“Instead they make this awful console, and this…” (link to Nintendo online store for Wii U) “ … Just stop it! Just make great games!”

“It is utterly intentional Decision to focus our resources which actually matter… like mobile, and Gen4.”

“One more :-). Nintendo platforms have always been very poor revenue-wise for third parties. Only Mario and Zelda make money.”

-Quotes on Twitter from Bob Summerwill showing EA’s cockier unprofessional side.

This has been bubbling up for well more than a year when Nintendo was looking at 3rd parties for handling its online systems. EA was pushing its ORIGIN system and wanted full control over all Nintendo online titles (Mario Kart, Smash Bros) and would have basically taken over “Nintendo Network” and was something that made Nintendo Back out of Negotiations.

EA Had originally planed on supporting the Wii U with a lot of titles but after the break down it had only 3 scheduled at launch and had no budget behind them. Madden and FIFA 13 were basically Madden 12 and FIFA 12 while Mass Effect was a buggy port.

Criteron (the makers of Need For Speed Most Wanted) had no marketing behind the Superior Wii U version of its game and called out to web sites to see the amazing finished product. The games director was talking how much more powerful the Wii U is over the 360 and PS3 and was easily pushing PC graphics. Unfortunately this is the company EA actually is.

Back when Sega was in the “Console War” EA had major grips that Sega was Making Football, Basketball and other games that competed directly and beat them in sales. When The Dreamcast was released EA would not support it so Sega went and bought some talent to make sports games. The 2k sports line was born and was such a successes that EA had to start buying full rights to make games for the NFL Exclusively.  EA tried to do the same with the NBA, FIFA and MBL.

What I come away from all this is that EA is the Walmart of the Video game industry.

They strong-arm companies into cheaper dev costs and discounts on dev kits. They are more that happy to buy out companies and gut them to mill out recycled games and game ideas back into the consumer’s hands. Honestly how wouldn’t be happy with just an update as DLC on their favorite sports title rather than having to plunk down $60US a pop for what is basically roster and UI (user interface) updates? Im typing and my hand is raised. They have been voted the worse company in America to work for two years in a row. Give it a year or two and im sure we will have documentaries on them destroying the video game industry… well probably not. But the Wii had hardly any EA support and came out number one, try to name one EA game on Wii that isn’t Madden or medal of Honor! Okay Need for Speed good point.

But when the Wii U get legs behind it (ZELDA and Smash Bros are released) then I can guarantee that like a gold digger EA will be back.

Hate or love EA they do have a presence on the Video Game industry and a tight grip on the revenue aspect... Only time will tell with next gen consoles if it's worth investing in EA games!
